Gremlin Garage creeps closer to respectability...

Well, 'bout froze my toes off, working in my garage last nite, but
it's the only way I'm gonna make progress! I started when I got home from
work, and finally shut the door about 10:30 pm with a few "heat" breaks in
between for dinner and foot-warming. It sure is slow work when you're a pack
rat, going thru things, organizing, etc! I had to totally remove items from
an overhead shelf, add a more substantial board, then repack it with useable
items, and put all the things that were toys or long-term items up in the
garage attic. It looks about the way it did when I started after work,
although now I have mostly "useful" stuff like electrical wiring, plumbing,
etc,on the shelfs instead of car parts that I"m not gonna use for a while. :)
Still working in that same 1/4 corner in the garage, but I did complete a
project while out there...took one of my packratted bar table bases, cut some
wood to fit the top, then mounted my table saw to it. The metal base is huge,
and heavy, so it's not likely to tip over, and I can now get the saw off my
workbench where I can use it more effectively. All in all, a pretty good
evenings work. Still have lots of stuff to shove upstairs into the attic,
that's what will take the time, going thru it, repacking, and getting it up
the ladder into storage. Please, Lady Luck, give me a Lotto win! LOL. Oh
well, I'll keep my "stuff", it does save money in the long run, and now that
I have my own home to store it without anyone ELSE complaining..I won't
anymore. Well, guess it's off to work, I'll get back on my ongoing Garage
Cleanup Project when I get home again this evening. I did find my used
Gremlin and Hornet gas caps while cleaning up... :)

Jerry
