Re: [gremlintime] Brian and the toys

Paul,
You have a point there about the rarer toys as I have never seen the
Open Fire anywhere but in a picture but I do have 2 Gremlin Grinders that I
bought at swap meets. Both were repaints, the first was at Carlisle a few
years ago and was the first one I had seen. It had some roof damage and a
really crappy homemade paint job but I had to have it and paid 5 or 6 bucks
for it. The second was in better shape and was painted in AMC Blue engine
paint, I got that one at Cecil 2 or 3 years ago and I think I paid $3 for
it.
I have a few questions about the Greased Gremlins.
They were made in 2 places, Hong Kong and Malaysia
The Malaysia version is the rarest, right?
Wasn't here a special edition with different wheels?
Does anyone have this one or even seen one?
Thanks
Brian

Hi there Brian,
you may be right about the Greased Gremlin toy which I picked up myself at
the Kenosha AMC show for 2 bucks as well as a beat up Polistil Gremlin for a
buck. I dare you to find a Open Fire gremlin or even a Gremlin Grinder in
good shape at one of those flea markets, THose things are becoming rarer and
rarer by the day. As for the Tonka Gremlins, you just got lucky.
Peace
Paul
