Spring pad withd center to center is 43" (I think a Gremlin is 42-3/4). From hub to hub my is 58".
I have a Lincoln Versailles for my Gremlin, that is still in the project stage because I wanted the disk brake set-up. I have completely gone through it with all new parts, added a posi, and 3.70 gears. From my point of view, I would not do this again. The brake parts are very expensive when you can find them, I had to have my brake hose from the caliber made because because I could not find them anywhere. Find I was to do it again, I would either use a 9" rear with drum brakes and convert it using a aftermarket disk brake set-up, or look a 8.8 rear from a Ford Ranger, Mustang, or other simliar ford produnts. These These are strong unit and you can still get the disk brake part. The Dana rear axle that was used in the V8 products is also a strong
unit there are disk brake kit on the market for these. If you are looking for a completed unit ready to go, I would be willimg to sell my for $1600.00 (that is what I have in it). That includes the center section being reuilded with new gears and posi, all new bearing, seals and brakes. It is ready to bolt in.
Here are a coulpe of web sites that might help you decide which route to go. http://www.mustangmonthly.com/techarticles/mump_0008_ford_granada_9_inch_rearend_swap/index.html
