I have a glass for you. FREE. I may even have it ready for shipping. I bought a bunch of door glass over the years and wouldnt mind helping a fellow AMC buddy out. Just send me your address and pay the shipping cost and its yours.
As for installing it. Easy. Remove the window crank then the arm rest and then the door panel, there are 2 allen bolts that hold it to the track. when you put the glass in you put the front tapered part in first from the outside of the door hen tilt it back into the door, hard to describe i guess but definitly easier than replacing a windshield.
If your looking for a new window, I think there is a glass vendor on craigslist in RI, that has AMC glass.

Just for the hell of it I got some instant quotes from some glass places in town. They want $289 to replace it. So while I was at it I got a quote for a windshield. It was $175 which I thought was pretty good. Is it that hard to put the glass in the door?

Any one know a source for a drivers side door glass. I rolled mine down today shut the door and it went into a million pieces. I knew I had something loose in there but I never would have guess the glass would shatter. I can still roll the the track up and down. I would think all 70-78 would work
