[BaadAssGremlins] Re: flash flood in queensland australia (now amc related)

Hey Dave, we get stuff like that here in Houston....maybe not with the ferocious river we saw in the Aussie footage there, but water comes up with vengance as Houston is mostly 32-38 feet above sea level so big swamp. This is AMC related flooding photos off my site, the April 28th storm dumped 9-11 INCHES of rain in a 12 hour period here!

that stop light there at Katy Freeway is 15 feet in air....there was high water rescues also as people's vehicles got washed off freeway or like dumba**es tried to 'drive' thru floodwater:

this was our front yard, we got 2-3 inches in house, and there was a whopping 2300 HOMES that flooded from this event!

I might have been peeing in that photo, no one would know.

This is my front yard with tons of AMC photos had taken at national and regional meets thru the decades:

however, I'll take a flood event like we had as opposed to what folks in your country going thru down there, this was localized affecting Houston, your flooding is affecting huge area!

If you listen to the audio, hear the woman who says 'he's letting the air out of his tyres' (guy with umbrella). No he's not, he's locking in the front hubs on the 4WD to make sure he gets traction.  Like Eddie says, haven't heard of any AMC's damaged but it's early days yet. All those cars destined for the scrap heap as the modern computers get waterlogged and therefore useless, and the car is scrap.

about 5 minute video, amazing to watch, lots of cars swept away, don't know how the small
bridge stood up to that though. Several AMC Aussies have told me that the flooding is
'epic' and that it covers, get this, the size of Germany & France combined down there, so
never seen this type of flooding.

No American Motors cars were swept away in the flooding that I saw here. The one fellow
who braved the heavy rain to move his white SUV.....not sure what good that umbrella did
him, sort of reminded me of the coyote holding ACME umbrella while 8 ton boulder falling
from cliff above him.
