Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Happy Thanksgiving to everyone

Sorry to hear about your loss Henry. You never really get 'over' a momma's passing. Still think about my own mom who passed in 1988 and sometimes simple things will bring smile to face, a word, a phrase, even something like movie, or item in store. Hopefully it will be like this with you and remember all the life's lessons,a nd good stuff, not the scourge of cancer.

There are 3 photos on my site that sometimes bring me comfort, and had to go look them up but there is no captions so maybe share them.

Mom sitting on her and da's 'new' 1953 Nash in 1953.

"Mom's" 72 Ambassador wagon. She never had a driver license and never learned to drive. We jokingly called this her car as she would get in it, back up to railroad tracks, and come forward to the house again, which she called driving, about a block I guess.

My own mom, Sara, also had cancer and Henry, can't tell you how much it takes out of whole family watching loved one watse away, especially going thru painful chemo. I had just moved to Houston in 1983 and she had been diagnosed in 1982 so was tough to leave Corpus Christi, but had to find work. My brother Tommy took this photo

which hopefully will make you smile knowing a mom's love transcends this life. Take care and God bless you and stay strong for family, Paige & me will light some candles for your momma tonight and say some prayers for her Hope you have some great photos and lasting wonderful images of your mom that will make you smile when least expect it. Take care,

My condolences Henry - very sorry to hear of your loss.  Take comfort in that she is in a better place now, pain free and among friends, and you will meet again.  Your advice as well is timeless and well spoken.
