The folks below are looking to retrofit a 77 AMX tachometer into their 73
Hornet hatchback. I emailed them schematic of 77 AMX wiring diagram, but figured
some of you might want to comment also, thanks in advance to all who might and

I have a 1973 hornet hatchback 258 that I want to install a tach in. I have a 6-cyl tach from a 1977 hornet AMX. Looking at the back of the tach, the left connection has a black wire. The right connection has both a brown wire and a yellow wire. The light bulb has an orange wire. Can you tell me where to hook the black, yellow, and brown wires. I looked at the tach diagrams on your website for 68-70 and 71-74 AMX/Javelin and think the 70-74 digram may be close.
