Show Update  
 
The show is shaping up to be the best one yet (I hope).  Here is the tentative schedule of events for the weekend: 
 
Friday, Nov. 6th: Lake Mead cruise on an authentic, three-level, Mississippi-style paddlewheeler called the Desert Princess.  The cruise departs at 2pm.  We will be meeting at Railroad Pass (show site) at 1pm and caravanning to the Lake Mead Cruises dock.  The cost is $18 per person.  The dock is located within National Park Service land and there is a $5 per car fee to enter.   The cruise takes approximately 90 minutes.   Following the cruise, the Southern Nevada AMC Club will be hosting a BBQ at one of Boulder City's nicest parks, Veteran's Memorial Park.  We will have the use of several covered gazebos.  Each one has benches and a BBQ grill.  Registration may take place Friday night at the hotel (depending on how I feel after the BBQ).    IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TAKING THE CRUISE, PLEASE INCLUDE PAYMENT FOR THE TICKETS WITH YOUR SHOW REGISTRATION AND MAIL TO OUR CLUB TREASURER (NAME AND ADDRESS ON REGISTRATION FORM). 
 
Saturday, Nov. 7th: Car Show and swap meet at Railroad Pass.    The show area will be open for set-up at 6:30am.  Registration begins at 7am and continues until 10am.  The hours of the car show and swap meet are 9am-3pm.  We hope to have both cable TV (Vintage Vehicle Show from Seattle) and print coverage.   Following the conclusion of the show, we will move to the hospitality room at 3:30pm for the awards presentation and raffle drawings.  The evening will conclude with dinner at the Boxcar Buffet at 6pm.  
  
Sunday, Nov. 8th: Sunday morning breakfast buffet (we will be eating in a private dining room).  Meet at the buffet at 8am.    
 
The "Pass" will be an outstanding venue for the show.   We will have a large completely roped off and secure show area in the front parking lot by highway (you may park your vehicle in this area as soon as you arrive), hospitality room with refreshments for show attendees, car washing area very close to the show area, excellent lighting and security, dining area set aside for us in the buffet on Saturday evening, use of private room for Sunday morning breakfast and more.   For hotel reservations, please contact Railroad pass directly.  The room rate is $50 per night (mention code AMC1106).
