OK, here's another opinion. None of them are going to be cheap. From my limited experience with different carbs, the Edelbrock seems to be the "easiest" to set up and the most stable out of the box. I've had trouble keeping the holley tuned and stopping leaks, both into the bore and out of the bowls. So I have no holleys on anything now. I've had good luck with the Demon (Barry Grant) when I carefully set everything up to factory recommendation before install. I'm running a Mighty Demon on my 72 Gremlin X 304 and a Street Demon on my 69 Mach 1 (351W). Had some serious tuning problems on the Mustang because of some of the "help" I had. But since I pulled the carb, reset to install specs and then tuned it's been great.
