Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Brake Conversion

Bill, On my swap in my 74 I didn't change valves and she works just fine. Now I have heard of it being needed but I know two of us that didn't and they work OK.

I just got my Gremlin back from the paint shop and am
now in the rebuild process. Yippee Skippee!

I converted from drum brakes to front disk and when
pulling the system from the junk yard pulled the
firewall lines and porportioning valve that went with
it. In compairing the new versus old valve, they look
exactly the same valve except for the electrical
switch. The disk valve has two wires, while the old
has only has one.

Does anyone know if the valves themselves are indeed
the same? Can I swap them out and keep the original
single wire switch?

Thanks!
