The Grem is all legal now. I ordered up my personalized plate and GREMMIE was available. I decided Friday to drive him to work. I've already had a zillion comments and the looks I get...... someone asked how much I would take for him! Ha!!!!!!! No way! I told him $10,000!!!! That shut him up! I won't drive him around much right now (yeah right). Especially in crappy weather! They are calling for 60 here tomorrow then 35 and rain/snow on Tues. Good ole Kansas weather! Anywhoo... Kansas right now has these UGLY tags for the personalized.. a buffalo on the plate. The lady at the DMV told me they only have 2 yrs left on this design...thank goodness! I got my other pers. tag for my old Topaz a couple years ago and at that time she told me everyone was turning in their tags for regular tags because they are so ugly. I'll live with ugly just to have what I want on the tag. My other car read N2SWEET.... (Sweet is my favorite band...) Bad thing is you have to wait 2-3 months to get the darn things. One thing for sure the ole Grem didn't like the cold when I drove home Friday night. Ran a bit rough even after warming him up. I am sure I'm going to find lots of things I'll need to do to him. I can't wait for it to get warm....one more month! March is generally the warm up month around here. I'll have to get out and do a photo shoot tomorrow. Never have seen that other Gremlin again yet.... I know Todd is in my neck of the woods...anyone else on this board in the KC area??? It would be cool to get together with the local AMC people! I will get my other Gremlin pics scanned soon and add them to my folder. Now to change the subject for a minute....How about the Superbowl? Since my Packers screwed up and lost I don't have anyone to root for now. It's a catch 22 really.... I would like to see NE run it all the way through since no one else has ever done that but then again I would love to see the upset if the NYG beat them and spoil it. Haaaa! Happy Sunday! --- In BaadAssGremlins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Luke Wardwell <horneteer2@...> wrote: > > Hmmm if you have luck like mine that ole Gremmy will show up again before you know it. It seems to me that has happened to me before. I see an AMC and cant chase it down and finally I come accross it. I have seen afew AMCs and didnt see em again for several weeks.I remember a girl in high school had a Hornet. I offered her $500 for it but she refused. Two years ago I went to a junkyard and there it was. I bought it for $75. I just havent brought it home yet. > The waiting is the hard part. Up here in Maine we have salt sand and calcium chloride on the roads during the winter, so I dont drive my Hornet for several months. So it wont rust out. I drove my Hornet 2 years ago afew days before Thanksgiving, and sure enough it was covered in white dust from the crap they put on the roads. That one trip and I already saw surface rust on my wheels and a taillight trim. > So I can relate to the waiting like alot of members on this group. I am just glad I have this group to motivate me when I get frustrated with some things.
