My stock 6 has a bad 904 in it and Im looking to replace it.  There is a 82 Concord at Pick n Pull.  Didnt they all come with 998s?  Also, I thought the main difference was just a lock-up 3rd gear on the 998.  Is it electronically controlled?

Someone had recommended a AW 4sp auto used in 4.0 l Cherokee 2WDs but I dont know how complicated that would be so far as having to swap in controllers/computers/sensors....

Im long on WILLING but short on CASH and EXPERTISE!
