Be gentle with it. That motor is a little big for that tranny and rearend. As I recall, the 998 was used with the 304, and the 904 was used with the I-6's. They look the same externally, but the 998 is a little stronger than the 904. The 360 normally used a 727 transmission. The rear is probably an AMC 15. (This was later sold to Dana to become the Dana 35.) These were commonly used with the I-6 motors. The V8's usually got the AMC 20 rearend. This was definitely the case on the bigger cars, but I'm not so sure on the small cars. If you don't drive it hard this setup should be fine.
