[BaadAssGremlins] Tach question

Happy Holidays Everyone ! !  Question on the tachometer wiring for a 
factory tach out of a 77 AMX. I am finally getting my 73 Gremmy back 
together and I am putting the instrument cluster in the Gremmy that I 
got out of a 77 AMX (3 pod w/tach). The tach has a part number 3690403, 
labeled for a V8. I need to know what wires hook up where on the coil. 
The back of the tach has the "neg." terminal with a black w/white 
tracer wire attached to it, and the "pos" terminal has a double wire 
set up attached to it with a yellow wire and a brown wire, both 
connected to single factory eye terminal. Why the double wire set up??? 
Where does that yellow and/or brown wire hook to?? I could not find a 
wiring diagram for that 77 AMX, so hopefully someone has some input.
