I'm confused by this one also. I may add however that I have owned not one, 
but two AMXs with a transmission oil pressure sensor, one a 69, one a 70, 
however BOTH were aftermarket setups with a gauge below dash. Here is the 
dash from the 69 AMX:

It had sensors for everything thuogh, even for rear, brake pressure, you 
name it, latte temp, burrito gas sensor, neat dash from a Navy training 
plane. And yes, all those gauges and 24 readouts above the gauges all 
worked.
