RE: [BaadAssGremlins] Re: things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmm.............

Im 19 as well and you all have seen me on here for atleast 3 years, this is the only site ive been on for over a year and a half and not got tired of all the drama (there is very little/none here)

And I have to agree with you tim, ive worked my ass off for my vehicles, I no longer have my gremlin, yes im kicking my self in the ass but still lol, but I did every repair except mount 2 tires on it, my self. I have helped my dad since I was 5 to work on cars. Even now, I own a 95 aspire I still do all my repairs that I can on it. Im still learning, haynes manual helps A LOT tho lol. And my junior and senior year of high school, I had rich fucking punk kids talking shit on my car, which at the time was the 78 grem, had primer on it and bondo, and only had the straight 6 with auto in it. But one day after school one of them said something to me talking shit on the car, I simply replied, atleast my car is paid for, I paid for it, and I can change anything on it my self, that shut them up, but to top it off, I backed my car up to theirs, dropped it into gear and fucking lit the tires up, and I mean it smoked the whole parking lot up,

After that NO ONE ever talked shit on my car again lol. If they did it was friends joking around lol. Even the cop that was running a speed trap seen me do it, and as I drove by, he gave me a thumbs up as I drove by. (older cop,)

Im a youngster compared to most. Got my gremlin about 2months after turning 16, now
im 19. Been a car nut since I was 12, wrenching on cars whenever someone needed
another hand. Most the work i've done was for free as it was a learning expierence for me
and there is no price for education. Kids my age dont know what it means to work for
what they have. Since i was 14 i've had a job and payed for all my goodies straight cash.

I have been lucky enough to find a group of kids my age that have similar beliefs. We
hang out in an abandoned parking lot at night and talk cars. We dont argue over makes
we just sit and talk. Work on our cars, and just hang out. The bigger fight is when punk
kids cruize up in their ricers wanting to race. Im all for racing, but when its your daddies
car versus a car one of us had spent our life savings on it just takes the fun out of racing.
Its sad that the car guys are a dieing breed. Kids just dont know what it takes to have nice
things now days. They get it all for the rightful price of whining to their mommy or daddy.
