Great idea, but not sure you’ll
pass tech with your brace though. I looked at your pics, realize
I understand it’s only tack welded, but I think the gage you used for the
plates welded on the roll bar might be too thin + the way you designed it, it
could break off, kinda roll on the roll bar, if you get my drift. I’ve
attached a quick drawing (sorry for the rudimentary design, but this will pass
tech guaranteed. A buddy of mine is an NHRA tech inspector, and this is what he
wants to see). You’ll notice that the piece attaching to the roll bar is
directly in line with the seat back and not under the cross bar, the way you
currently have it. I’ve seen too many poorly
designed "safety" items that actually turned out to be more harmful
that not having one. Be Fast, but Be Safe I always
