Subject: RE: 1971 360 Heads Hi Eddie. I hope all is well.
I found '72 heads for my 1971 Javelin...... the "guide" for the
push rods is a larger diameter though. So, my push rods "dance" now and
the rocker-arms won't always stay on them.
I had to buy .100" shorter push-rods. As far as I can tell,
I cannot use larger push-rods because they wouldn't fit my lifters,
etc.
So, I must come up with a solution. What would you
suggest?
The only thing I can think of is to put "sleeves" in the guide (to
narrow the diameter). Problem is, I have no idea where to get this
material or who can do it.
I've also considered roller-rockers but Jeg's and Summit do not
have all the parts I need.......
What do you suggest?
I'd appreciate any help or suggestions you can give me. Have
a good day!
Thanks,
Shrews
