Bart,
I used a heat gun and a heavy duty putty knife to remove the undercoating
from my Gremlin. I'm sure the same will work for the floor pans. Once I had
everything scrapped, I washed it down with a rag soaked in lacquer thinner.
As for the pin holes, POR-15 is the way to go. You can actually brush on a
heavy coat and apply a piece of fiberglass cloth over the hole then top it with
more POR-15. They also make a thick version for fill-ins. I seem to
remember that it is available in a caulking tube.
