[BaadAssGremlins] Gas odor

I notice a gas odor coming from the gas tank area on my 77 hornet.  I 
looked at the tank, but didn't see any leaks.  I had an old Vega that 
had a similar problem.  I checked it out and found a series of rubber 
hoses that lead to an expansion tank located in the trunk. I replaced 
the hoses because they were cracked and that cured the problem.  I'm 
just curious if anybody knows if hornets have a similar setup.  I plan 
to drop the tank since I want to find the source of the fumes, but I'm 
just fishing to see what to expect.
