If you had an automatic I think making the tranny kick down linkage work properly would be a big problem. If it is not adjusted properly the tranny will burn up. My son's Javelin in the garage has a 4bbl on a 258 six without the kick down linkage for the tranny. I rode in the car with the previous owner and it drove terrible with out the kick down linkage.
