Hi there. I took my Hornet on its second trip last weekend. The first trip I went through two quarts of transmission fluid in about 100 miles. I since have had the tranny front seal replaced and the technician discovered the torque converter was cracked. After finding a new one and having it installed I went to a Maine AMC club meeting about 75 miles away. The name of the club is AMCMainiacs. My car went good except some pinging passing slower cars up passing zones. ( any suggestions??) I advanced the timing and seemed to fix it but I haven't gone on any long distance trips. My Sportabout averaged around 20 mpg with the 258 one barrel and torqueflite. Like Brad I lost track at how many people turned their heads to see my firecraker red wagon. Plus afew just saw taillights when I left them at some red lights :0 ;) --- AMC74HORNET@xxxxxxxxx wrote: > I didn't know you had plates on the car Brad? 3 year > old gas is not > good.
