If you have power steering there may be a clearance issue with the
header and the power steering box unless they finally cleared up that
problem. You picked a nice car as Gremlin, Concord, Spirit parts fit and
maybe some Eagle parts as well. Me I am not a fan of electronic anything
and have kept my points. I did however add an Acell Super coil which I
can tell the difference. I have had on on my other Hornet for 25 years.
You may also want to add a cam along with the carb/manifold/header
combo. If you need insert material for your split seats there is a place
in Oregon that I bought the factory material from. Let me know and I
will dig out the name of the place. Are all your flairs intact along
with the front air dam? I have a set that has been painted and needs to
be stripped, I also have the rear window louver that I had media blasted
and needs to be painted. What color is your car? It's nice to drive
somthing different. I get compliments on mine all the time. My friends
at the local cruise night haven't seen this car for almost 2 years now.
Wait till the see it now. :-)~

Doc, mine has the 2 bbl.  I guess its not too bad, but I did pick up
an Offenhauser intake manifold, and I do have a Holley 390 4bbl that
I plan to put on.  I also picked up a Chevy HEI which will be going
on soon.  The last thing I'm looking for is a header.  That's what I
would like to do for now.  Eventually, I'd like to switch to the
later 4.0 head, and maybe add a turbocharger.
The car is not show condition, but it is a very presentable driver.
I purchased it from the estate of gentlemen who passed away last
year.  He bought the car used in 1978.  It was orgignally white, and
has been repainted.  It has some bondo, but not too much.  The
interior is in excellent condtion with the exception of 2 tears in
the drivers seat.  It has a/c (complete but needs a recharge), rear
window defroster, and the original am/fm stereo that still works.
It is my first decent old car (after several failed projects), and I
am really looking forward to taking it out to local cruise nights
and showing people something different.
