I hope Jeff is going to give you your money back on that Motorola. I hate them !@#$%^& things. I personally rebuilt the Alt that was in the car when I bought it. It failed 1 week after I bought the car on the way home from the local cruise night. I have done them on my yellow car almost every 10,000 miles since it was new (10 times now). The only parts needed was 2 new bearings, a diode trio you soldered in and a brush kit. I did not work this time. A friend sold me one of the 4 rebuilt spares he had. The alt. charged fine but the alt. light would glow when you shut the car off. 2 more rebuilt's from the auto parts store, one was dead as Kelsey's Nut's the other had the alt light glowing problem. So I know your frustration man, I been there. I never had a problem before when I rebuilt my own till this time. Use a 100 amp Delco and you will not have a problem if you are running all that electronic ignition stuff the stereo and the A/C and light's, wipers. 100 Amps is over kill for my car but I like the extra power if I need it down the road for some extra accessories like a stereo and fog light's.
