After seing the shelf in usage, I see now why you keep it. ;)

As for customizing...I draw, I puter-edit, and even do very 
minor custom stuff (like the Spirit I'm (very slowly) altering. 
But see my note to Paul as to why it never 'takes off'. But a 
four-door humpster? Heck, that's ugly before it even gets put 
on paper!! I dream of a targa top with hatchback humpster... 
yea, THAT'S the ticket!

Painting the bezels body color looks great *IF* all the chrome/ 
bright trim is also monochromed to body color. I've seen many 
beautiful humpsters done that way. Do it to the gren car and 
match the mirrors as well (and lose that white top).

As for my 'new bride' of nearing 3 years already (and 21 years 
together...yeesh!)...we're fine. She's emerging from her winter 
'dumps' and we're back to liking each other again. As for spawn 
....screw that. I've got plenty of four-legged family I **FAR** 
prefer. Kids are a 'not in this lifetime' preference....perhaps 
another thing I won't take on unless I'm certain I'll do it 
exactly right...hmmm....

I don't have issues. I've got subscriptions! :)

No more Jagermeister for John! On the Dumbo ear mirros, ha ha, still
laughing at that, as when I go to a mall I am the person who barrels
walking thru where dumbass SUV owners have parked too close together and
those things have created a 'gate' of sorts, so just barrel into them
and like the French Army, collapse. However i saw a lady parking the
other day in some Lexus thing and the mirrors folded THEMSELVES as she
parked and turned off key! I was perplexed and walked my white trash ass
over and asked her if it does that ever time, she said yes. Good looking
lady for being in 60s, but all plastic too. I asked if I could check out
her mirrors which I did, she seemed to think i was homeless fixing to
ask her for money but I pointed over to my Rebel convertible sitting
alone away from other cars and she said ohh, that is nice! So she knew I
was car guy. 

John, you are a customizer at heart obviously, if you had time to sit
your butt and play photoshop with car photo, you can do sheet metal too.
Why not build a four door 71-74 Javelin? 

Headlamp bezels. Many cars don't even have them anymore. I think these
painted same color as car would have rocked.

Uncover and properly aim driving lights. Huh? C'mon John, it's nutria
season, and those are hunting lights, good to help granny in Beverly
Hillbilies whup this evening's slaw of critters. They help you see what
you aiming at, and the spoiler scrapes it right up for easy access. I
won't get into talking cooking my tacos on the intake manifold again,
ya'll know all abuot that.

On my 71 SC/360 rear spoiler, if you ever get to see this car up close,
the spoiler sits flush with butt end. Maybe I will have to crawl up on
top of house and take downward photo of it, but here is one off my

Take a look at photo 1683 here also. This spoiler also serves another
functional purpose, and that is for momma to pile the never ending
laundry out of dryer on, makes great shelf.

You need to concentrate on your new bride more and stay away from that
photoshop thing. how is the new wifie and are ya'll fixing to breed? You
need some little AMCers running around up there in New Jersey. No more
overanalying green AMXs! Here are two tips: don't cook bacon naked; and
kids and tachometer needles don't mix.
