Sears sells a nice battery powered Dremil for around 29$. I made the mistake of buying a second battery along with some extra stones and cut off wheels without checking the price. When I got home I saw the price of the extra battery was 20$. The battery powered Dremil is smaller and easier to handle than the 110 volt one I have. Had I noticed the price of the battery alone I would have bought a complete extra Dremil. I am not using the dremil to sand any part of my grill, just to cut and fabricate the plexiglass re-enforcement pieces. I will be sanding it with 400# wet/dry sand paper since I have no visible damage, all of mine is in the mounting areas. "Doc" Yahoo! Thanks for the on-going dialog on the Grille
restoration. I started working on mine the other day
but only thus far have removed everything that can be;
screws, lights, etc. It still needs to be washed
front and back before I really go for it. Right now
it's sitting on my work bench beckoning me.
I had a dremil but I finally had to toss it so will
have to pick up a new one for the small work. Looking
forward to your next installments particularly on how
you go about sanding it down.
