It was 37 degrees this morning in Houston, however, it warmed up to 58 this afternoon and took this photo of Noah & Jacob in the big field behind the house, note all the flowers. However, tonight it is supposed to break a record and go back down to something like 35 degrees, which would be a record for this date. It's so cold I could not find my pee pee. In the summer when it is hot outside they call me Eddie Wad. However when cold it is Eddie Shortshot.

Speaking of shortshot, I get a call this morning from Paige who is on a pay phone. One is that I sort of wondered where she found a pay phone as those went the way of drive inn movies and beta tapes. But she said her 88 Eagle 'surged and died' on the Beltway about 6 miles south of me, so I grabbed the kids, jumped into Bessie the 72 Ambassador and off we went to save Paige. A Safe Clear had already towed her to a Exxon station about 5 blocks down to get her off the highway. She had walked to Whataburger where she had called me so was nto near the car. First thing I looked at was the gas gauge, it was so low it was hanging under dash. I tried to crank it but it appeared she simply ran out of gas, so I put in a gallon and cranked it right up. Could not believe it. I called her work and they knew she was running late because of car trouble, but I told htem give her extra helpin of shit when she gets there as she had only run out of gas, was not the AMC Eagle Al Queda 4x4 bomb she made me believe all frantic when she called. I had to leave my Cheerios behind to go save her, whihc is not the first time saving her in 17 years, almost seems like Underdog saving Polly Purebread daily! All's fine now however, just strange to see it so cold in late March here.

The photo I sent earlier is the face of American Motors. Yes Bill they are getting off work. A side door at 52nd avennue in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The year?

1977.

The caption?

"The people of American Motors---craftsmen, technicians, engineers, designers, office workers---total almost 30,000. They work together in plants, laboratories, testing facilities and offices around the world."

Interesting.

Something to also ponder. Google is fighting the US government tooth and nail to not disclose their searches. However, they bent over backword for the Chinese government to exclude (yes, censor) many democratic terms like 'democracy' for instance. Think about that!

Back to AMC. AMC prided itself on it's 'diversity' (a term I can't stand) on hiring back when it was not politically correct either in the 1970s. Laws were different you know. Again however, it don't matter if you wear a bar towel on your head or a helmet or a pair of horns. Money talks. Lots of moans were heard when the Germans bought Chrysler which had bought AMC. More to think about, maybe our Ramblers can infiltrate Mercedes car shows as we are somehow related like on a Spriner show.

Javelin?

You ARE THE FATHER!!!

Thats all, Joe I hope everything turns out for you and wife, for every door that closes in life another one seems to open.
