Which reminds me of when Paige & me were in st.
Louis for the nationals in 99. I had to have some White Castles, so while we
stayed in St. Charles, right over the river from the massively sold out host
hotel that the AC didn't work (ya'll who were the remember), we drove west to
the White Castle. We stopped at a little package store out there and bought some
Miller GD. So we are sitting in the line after i ordered and I decided to pop a
beer, as it had been a brtutally hot day at the nats. And I flipped the top
about 30 yards towards the back of the White Castle dumpster. Lo and behold a
cop was fixing to go to work, and came up to the car and asked if I had thrown
that and I said yes I did. He asked if I had been drinking and I said not yet,
just popped the first one and we are headed to our hotel. He asked where from. I
said Texas. He asked do you littler like that in Texas. I said no we hang
them. so I said I would toss the beer also and go quickly pick up the top and I
apologied to him as I said it was our first time to Missouri the Show Me state
and we had been having a wonderful time and the people were great. So I
apologized to him and promised not to pop another beer till we got to our hotel.
Boy did I feel like a dumbass, and Paige cackled like a tree full of grackles
about it the rest of the trip. I have often wondered what those in line behind
me at the Castle were thinking as I walked almost across the back parking lot to
pick up trash, talking to a trooper.

The wife was delighted to see Jack in the box in Texas. At
dinner tonight she wanted to know if Eddie could overnight some cheeseburgers
to Mi. LOL Paul

No Paul, that is the SC/360 with tons of kids
clothes piled on it in the background, sort of makes it look like Barney
Fife's car though! For all you poor SOBs that still have winter it was 78
today here, time to drive AMC. Hell, all I drive is aMC so everyday is drive
AMC. Speaking of which I was going to put the kids seats in the Rebel and
the back seat belts are short on the mail plugs. I thought maybe it was just
for convertible, so went in garage where I have boxes of seat belts,
inclduing a whole Rebel set and same length, as those came out of a two
door. So guess can't put kids seats in two door either.

you got that right. Spent 6 hours yesterday putting on a Rebel
Machine stripe kit, boy that is one of the toughest stripe kits I
have ever put on a AMC, but turned out great, except the blue in
back on the trunk is slightly not lined up, no one will notice
unless you get directly above it. I might be able to realign my
trunk lid to get it properly adjusted. Regardless, had a lot of fun
doing it.
One thing I noticed last night when
driving.......people hitting their brakes when they would see the
Rebel sitting at the stop signs that run into the Beltway 8 feeder
road. Not sure some of you know this but the Rebel Machine stripes
are 3M reflective, just like cop cars use, when your headlights hit
it, it shines back. So it was a interesting byproduct watching the
brake lights from speeders who thought I was a Harris County
Precinct 5 constable clocking them with
radar............... Eddie Stakes' Planet Houston
