Not sure what this topic evolved to, however Doc mentions the Lincoln Versailles. Those, along with Mercury Monarchs and Ford Granadas have been surrendering their Ford 9" rear ends for years out of Houston Pick A Parts for under $100 end to end. These are almost a bolt in for 68-70 AMX. Some of the ones I have had thru the years also are set up for rear disc brakes. If you get one of those contact Ron Waters and the crew at WSC on my vendors list as they have rear disc brake setups.
