I thought I was in the stretch on this interior job, nothing to do but
put in the dash and add some new wiring for the new gauges, neaten up
some wiring and trouble shoot a few small problems and be done. The dash
was a real pain to install to start with. Now I find that when I
installed it I caught the bulb and socket for the wiper and headlight
switch between the dash frame and the steering column bracket. Now I
have to almost completely remove the dash to get the bulb and socket
free. The plastic cap that covers the lower part of the steering column
rubs and has to be massaged to fit for proper clearance. And last but
not least the dash center section does not fit for some reason. 4 hours
spent working and nothing accomplished. I called it a day as my brain
was becoming fried and I couldn't think clearly any more.
