Dave since it appears that you have a 304 V8 there is one important question to be answered by you. Do you have A/C? Kennedy American sells a bracket kit for the Delco installation but the Delco is larger than the Motorola and if you have A/C the Delco will not fit. This was as of 3 years ago when I did my son's 72 Javelin 360 V8. Kennedy may have had a kit made for the Delco installation in a V8 A/C car since then. A friend of my son's father ran a ignition shop and the Motorola he rebuilt for my son lasted a week. This was a custom built special 65 amp one, the stock ones are a puny 35 amps. He re-did it and it works fine now. But since the car has no A/C we have a Delco and the bracket kit on hand to replace the Motorola if it goes. I put a 100 amp Delco in my 6 cyl. Orange Hornet and it too was a pain due to clearance problems. "Doc" ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo! Groups. Thanks Doc. Is there anything else that needs to be changed or just a
simple swap of the alternator? I wanted to put in a higher amperage unit
anyway (to accomodate an electric fan) and so this isn't all bad news.
