Dan Kennedy American is an AMC parts supplier. I have misplaced his
catalog. He doesn't have a web site. There are 3 different cables that
make up the hand brake system. His cables are direct factory
replacements for the stock ones, no cutting or anything. I even priced
cables a few years ago for my friends 78 Concord AMX (same as a Hornet)
from the local auto parts store and Kennedy was cheaper. Check Eddie's
Planet Houston AMX's venders site for Kennedy's phone no#. He is in
Ohio.

Doc,
Are the Kennedy American units a direct replacement or do they have
to be cut to fit?  I bought a set from a manufacturer called
Pioneer.  The unit they list for the driver's side appears to fit
the passenger side perfectly, and the unit for the driver's side
looks like a universal deal (a mile long), where you have to cut the
line to fit, and then crimp the end with one of the those pass
through bolts that tighten down on the cable.  And the cable housing
that fits into the hole in the backing plate doesn't look the same
for either unit.  Where can you get the Kennedy American units?
Thanks for your help.
