[BaadAssGremlins] How Hot Was It So Far This Week?

It was so hot this week that the small round stick on mirror on the
pass. side mirror on my yellow Hornet's glue melted and it fell off.
It's been between 85-95 all week with high humidity and a heat index
that say's it feels like 100-105. I don't know how you guy's and gal's
down south can take this kind of heat. I hope the weather is decent for
the Nationals this week for those who are going. Interior progress has
almost ground to a halt because of the heat. I worked on the car for 1
1/2 hours monday, passed on tuesday because of the heat, worked on it 1
hour wednesday. Today I have to wait at home for new A/C's to be
delivered and installed so today is shot to except I can prep the 2 sun
Visors I got from Lu a while back and paint them black with SEM. I
contacted the upholstery guy yesterday as he told me to 10 days previous
about when he could do my seats. He said he is swamped and to call back
in 2 weeks. Hell I plan on having the rust spot in the floor fixed and
the carpet in in 2 weeks. It would be nice to have had just the drivers
seat done for a permanent installation so after I change the dash I
could at least drive the car. I checked the yellow pages for other local
upholstery shops and there are 2 other than the one I called. One that I
dealt with in the past, 25 years ago is still in business but the owner
is a drug addict now and it takes months to get anything done. The other
one is not far away but no one I know has seen their work, so even if
this place can do the seats I am not sure of the quality of the job I am
going to get.
The car has been laid up for 5 months now. I am in the closing stages on
this interior job and now this the only thing I cannot do myself the
!@#$% seats is going to hold up completion. In the last 6 months with my
mother in a nursing home, stupid government bureaucracy, lawyers,
courts, banks, my wife an one son giving me hell I am just fed up with
everything and every body. Sorry for the rant.
