That pod in the blue car is the one I was talking about. I don't think
it would be hard to mount it directly on the dash without the package
tray. There is a metal reinforcement that runs along the bottom of the
dash that you could screw it to. There is 2 screw mounting holes already
in the very front of the pod on top. You probably will have to make a
bracket for the rear 2 mounting points to stabilize the pod.
