Bart,

I've got 7 AMCs now...and just got done spending a grand building a new
video-editing PC (which is now beginning to pay me back via eBay sales).
Still, I won't have a spare $2000 for a while...as I'm also involved in tweaking
the Hornet back to 'all original'...new vinyl top, some interior repairs, engine
detailing and other expenditures.

Of course, the wife has expressed an interest in seeing a humpster in the
driveway again..and since I've been slow to do it for myself, she's leaning on
me to find one for her. Thus, the next AMC has to be a Javelin (a good running
304/Auto would be perfect).

But if her Cherokee were to be wrecked and a car like that Concord came up
at that time, *I* would be glad to grab it...tho maybe she wouldn't. She's
still got that youthful mentality, so she'll want a sportier appearance. But
even she wouldn't suggest the Concord wasn't worth the $2500. It simply isn't
her cup of tea style-wise.

Agreed...but a clean, dependable running car that isn't an eyesore
at $2500 is, in my book, not 'a whole hell of a lot'. In high school in
the late 1970s, $500 was bottom dollar for a 'runner', and that often
was a gruesome looking car. To get a car this clean, you had to
crack $1000. Today, it's rare something so clean sells for so little.
In my neck-o-the woods, a car that nice doesn't change hands
under $2000...and shouldn't.

Then why didn't you bid on it?it woulda been a cool daily driver for the wife next to your Hornet.
