Hey Bart I spent almost all the 4 years of my Navy service in the south.
In fact when I got out and came home my friends said I had a southern
accent. In my quest for finding an AMC in the 3-4 years before buying
the orange Hornet I looked at Hornet's, Gremlin's & Matador sedans. For
one reason or another I didn't buy any of them. The Matador sedan if I
bought it I was going to paint white and make a Rosco P. Coltrain
Matador Sheriffs car out of it. I have a Hazard County sheriffs decal
off a model car I was going to have blown up and a magnetic emblem made
for the doors and I even figured out how to make a removable folding up
light bar. The door emblems and light bar I would put on for shows and
the local cruise night. But the car was not the clean just needs a paint
job car it was supposed to be after driving 2 1/2 hours one way to look
at it. It was barely a 300$ parts car.

No Doc it is solid blue. It is a bright blue. The car has never had
any paint work on it before, but it is time for some now.
If you paint the wheels black just don't paint a 01 on the doors,
or a Rebel flag on the roof. HAHAHA
