Re: MY last AMX production debate post....

I'm not sure what Bilwin was attempting to prove excepthe is leader of the
debate team and head cheerleader over there. What is pathetic is that if one
reads the article John Rosa mentions, and it was a lenghty one in Muscle
Cars of the 60s/70s in the late 80s; Dick is asked a whole slew of questions
and was forthcoming in his answers which settled all bets about chick or
egg. That particular thread attempting to put words in teague's mouth and
revision history makes me want to vomit. I really could not believe that
this crap pops up several times a year. There was/is supposed to be a FAQ in
there somwhere about this chicken/egg theory that quells all these rumors.
And yes, sadly, someone might pop in for the first time, and then 'believe'
that a AMX was conceived in a barn in Kansas, or Pacers were made by Edsel
(they were/different company & model) or the Javelin was built by Jupiter
(they were) and ad nauseum Ford 390/AMC 390, mopar 360/AMC 360; AMC
327/Chevy 2327; Buick 401/AMC 401 and everything that has been hashed,
rehashed and so forth over and over again!

As for the decal on the back of Bilwin's Gremlin, I believe that rainbo
decal either means he is a fan of The Wizard of Oz, or collects My Little
Ponies or likes fudge. :~P)).

Rosa, a noted AMC engine builder is putting together a 1000hp engine right
now, he called me two months ago about it, and I'm waiting for a reply, told
him that I would be more than happy to do a build up article on it.....

Bilwin theorized...
"It is easy to take an interview from Dick Teague and
take the comments out of context, what he is actually
saying is the AMX was responsible for the production
javelin."

I almost cried from the laugh that raised. Now you're
going to tell us what the late Mr. Teague MEANT to say.
Who is taking things out of context here? That's killer.
You rock, J.B. You've got P.T.Barnum on the ropes!

Coming soon: The fish that got away, and 400HP from a
304 for about 100 bucks.

"Translation: the Javelin was "PRODUCED" first but the
AMX was resonsible. Simple."

Simple and untrue, but whatever. I've gotta go lie down
...my belly hurts from that first one. Whew!!
