One More Repair To Try To Make Today

Today I am going to take the orange car and have the gas gauge checked. It works sometimes and does not other times and I am not sure how accurate it is when it does work. I have a known good slightly used (4 months) NOS sender from my yellow car and a new sender locking ring and rubber gasket and new pickup filter. I am pretty sure it is the sender. A simple check is to see if when you ground the sender wire with the ignition turned on the fuel gauge will go off the scale over the full mark, this means it is not in the wireing or gauge itself but probably is the sender. But with the luck I have been haveing lately who know's. I hope this cures this problem as it is a pain without a working gas gauge. Have good day all.
