It works! Im making a one piece glass/carbon/kevlar/epoxy front end./ OK so I got two perfectly good 74 gremlin fenders I'm not going to use. I was planning to make 2 additional molds to flair the rear fenders to match the new front end, but got a wild hair and and cut up those fenders, Amc fenders are flaired nice on top but not on the bottom so if you cut the top of the arch in half, one half for the front lower and one half for the back lower the rear wells of your car can flair at the top and bottom. Right now the top of the curve is indented 3/4" I plan to take the wheels off tomorrow before I do some serious hammering to the top of the inner fender and flair. I should say this takes some serious planing and some progressive welding and hammering to get the metal to conform, If you can't figure it out maybe you should not try it. I just wanted to post it as an idea. the bottom sheet metal caps and fillers a going to be alot of work, But I'm happy I'll be able to use 10" rims with 5" back space and it will be all sheet metal, no lines and no worrys of a composite flair delaminateiing.
