Someone decided it was politically corect to rid the country of the hordes on old unregistered cars that are trying to take over this country. It must be the same A$$ that decided we should all drive cookie cutter 4 door sedans 10-15 years ago or need monsters like the gas guzzling Pford Excersion for the wife to use to go to the store for a quart of milk or a loaf of bread. Crushing AMC's is especially bad as there were less of them made compared to the other brands. Up here in N.Y. where I live they even crush new cars that are only 6 years old and in my town they have closed up 3 of the 4 junk yards here for envirement reasons so thay say. There is one small scrap metal yard down the street from me that ocassionally gets cars and ocassionally an AMC and that is only because the owner is an AMC guy and sells the parts to the few AMC guys around here. Us Hornet/Gremln guys are lucky that these cars was AMC's main stay and lots of parts are still available and interchangable between them. My son grabs any good body parts he can for his 2 Humpster Javelins. Like the guy on American Muscle say's "Don't Crush Em, Restore Em".
