Lower Rates My A$$. That's what they told us years ago here in N.Y. when they started this No Fault Insurance BS. The only way I got lower rates was to go to the AARP for my car insurance and take one of those 55 Alive drivers coursed for a further rate reduction. You can't imagine what it is like to have to sit in a class with a bunch of old farts for 8 hours that 85% of them should not be on the road no way no how. I had a tractor trailer licence for 24 years that I gave up in 1989 because I became dsabled and knew I would never drive a truck again and got a plain old passenger car licence now which is 1/2 the price of the trailer licence. Great heads-up Eddie, I learned long ago that a few extra dollars were well spent on reputable insurance( and I'm a Yankee so it was easy learning ) I like how they tell us in Texas* that our rates are going down when my premium goes UP. Check out this website and cases of fraud, this are only the people who got caught ripping off the public I was told by Vikki Fulford who is a head honcho with TX Dept of Insurance! Imagine you think you are covered. And driving down the street and hit a school bus of kids and kill some of them. Then you find out your insurance company is, uh, gone, you are simply screwed and will not only go bankrupt, but also have a variety of charges levvled against you and there would be a really good possibility that you would go to prison, even if the insurance part was not your fault sadly. Check out this site: http://www.tdi.state.tx.us/fraud/frindictconvict.html And this was my FATAL MISTAKE here: http://www.tdi.state.tx.us/fraud/index.html "Never pay premiums in cash. Always pay by check or money order and make your check payable to the insurance company or agency, not the individual agent. Never pay with a blank check. If you´re paying in installments, make sure you understand how much your payments will be. Be suspicious if an agent tries to bill you for future installments. Normally only the company or premium finance company will do this." Yes, someone pass me the KY Jelly now!
