Yes, you can use the Pacer discs on Gremlin and Hornet. And in late 70s, AMC started using Bendix again, I believe the V8 Spirits but don't quote me on that but it was not the crappy four piston Bendix setup AMC had used from 1965-71. When people call and ask me to interchange for earlier models I always suggest 72-78 Mata/Amb/AMX/Jav series as most times those are the heavier duty setups. But many Grem/Hor/Con/Pac also came with heavy duty brakes and those are worth grabbing. When in stock, I sel the whole used setup, calipers, rotors, porportioning valve, spindles, backing plate and master cylinder and booster (if one) for $350 and can't keep them in stock. Now Doc, the roadside is littered with vile comments about those folks who have a pompous opinion about what 'the worst cars ever built' were. My favorites were two articles in Forbes magazine. Yes, Forbes. http://www.forbes.com/2002/10/21/1021feat.html And: http://www.forbes.com/lifestyle/2004/01/26/cx_dl_0126feat.html Now depending on which catbox you are putting your Forbes magazine in, the results will vary. Not sure why the list changed in 2 years above, but again, I have said it a million times, this is a magazine (tabloid) that was encouraging people to buy Enron stock years ago. Worldcom too. So if anyone believed that they surely would believe the 'worst cars' list. Actually I hope they did believe Forbes and bought Enron & Worldcom, hell, throw in a little Martha Stewart Livin in Prison stock too. In other words I hope those gullible folks that followed Forbes advise lost their ass and are now living in a trailer down by the river (with apologies to the late Chris Farley!). But you have these stupid polls from hack writers from time to time. Amazingly enough, sometimes you even see these 'worst car' polls in automotive magazines. Now ya'll go vote above, looks like Yugo is pulling away in one poll, but we need a big block of votes to get Gremlin out of first in the other poll, I say everyone vote for GTO! Eddie Stakes' Planet Houston aMX www.planethoustonamx.com Well Eddie can you use the disc setup off the front of a Pacer on a Gremlin or a Hornet? I heard in the past that the 74 Gremlin was on the list of worst made cars but the Hornet wasen't. How could that be as they were made with the same parts. And talk about ugly, just look what the big 2 and Heir Mopar are offering in the way of cars today. I concidered buying a PT Cruiser as I liked the retro look of it but couldn't get my fat old butt in it. There is nothing like slideing into one of my comfortable Hornets for me. Although the yellow onw with bucket seats is more comfortable than the new one with the bench seat. Hopefully the bucket seat problem will be solved soon. "Doc" Yahoo! Groups Links
