It was a busy day and I didn't get much done on the dash. I had my wife take the day off as I needed help. I had to attend a yearly planning meeting at the nurseing home for my mother. They had a clothing sale and I had my wife pick out clothes for my mother while I was at the meeting. Visited with my mother for a while, called my brother in Arizona on my cell phone while I was with my mother so he could talk to her. She refuses to have her own phone in her room so it is difficult for him to talk to her. Since my wife works and I am home I do the cooking and errands and such. So while I had my wife with me we went grocery shopping as I need help carrying the grocerys up 2 flights of stairs. Even though it was lightly raining so I took the orange Hornet out for these errands, spring must be in the air as it started a lot easier than it has this past winter. I never got to put in the manual choke before winter came so I will do that first thing after the new dash is in next month. I have had a manual choke in my other Hornet for 28 years and it starts right up every time with no problem. After everything was done, carried up the stairs and put away I was beat so all I got done on the dash was make the plexiglass reinforcement bar for the gauge side of the dash. I made an early dinner and watched the tube some. Today I will glue in the plexiglass bar and will start sanding the dash tomorrow. "Doc"
