Folks, for those of you interested in colors for different years, I have a
slew of orivginal AMC paint chip charts from AMC paint suppliers: Rinshed
Mason' DuPont and Martin Senoir on my website, armed with these you can take
them your local automotive paint supplier and they will punch the numbers in
the computer and mix it up for you in house. And of course you can see what
some of these colors look like before you choose; I believe I have 1967 thru
1981 loaded so far.

Again, these print out to a regular sized 8 12X11 page. You can also use
them to DECODE your metal door tag info paint code or any car you come
across. It is a free service from Planet Houston AMX and has been for years.

Simply click on >> www.planethoustonamx.com then click on "parts" file and
scroll around. Good luck whatever your final paint choice.

I don't know about white as an option on your year. I have seen white
Gremlins with a red stripe of sorts and also the metalic brown with the gold
stripe. I vote for the met. brown with the gold stripe. My new Hornet is
orange which looks more likes butterscotch color with a tan interior with a
plaid of sorts seat inserts. The tan interior is going to be black as soon
as I can change it when the weather gets warmer. I got a little under a
month to finish the dash pieces or a mid-april installation.
