Took me 4 stores to find a listing for new E brake cables for my 72.

The Calipers appear to be the same so I believe both cars have the same brand system. Rotors are no longer available from my AMC friendly local auto parts store so he is unable to check to see if the part no's are the same. My son insisted on putting NOS rotors on his Javelin when all he needed to do was to have his slightly turned. I know when I go to do the brakes in the new Hornet this spring it will need rotors and it would save me some money if I could just cut his and use them. All the local auto parts store guy could tell me is that the grease seals are the same between the Javelin and the Hornet. Of course I will use rebuilt calipers, new wheel bearings and brake hoses.

I just happened to be in the store I usually buy all my parts at to get some primer for the dash pieces and figured i'd ask them. Due to my disability's I don't have the strength to take things apart and measure things. That's why when I go to do somthing I try to have all the parts there at that time. Besides I will have to do it in the street like I did my son's Javelin last sept. I will how ever take your advice and check with the other parts store I buy from. Neither one of these are chain stores but local ones that know how to cross reference part no's. Maybe I will give Kennedy American a call and ask them as they are the ones my son bought his new NOS rotor's from. It sure would save me some money if I could use his rotors with just a clean up cut. I need the saveings to rebuild the fron't end too.
