Another Dash Part Started Today

The glove box surround is in the dehydrator bakeing with it's base cote of gloss black paint, I finally got it painted. Monday I will wet sand it with 600# sandpaper and spray on the finish cote of gloss black. Yesterday the weather was decent so I removed the glove box door, hinge and the plastic plugs that cover the hinge bolts to the dash. The upper plastic part of the glove box door is being stripped in Castrol Super Clean. I am missing the glued in insert that says Hornet. I will make a new insert out of model sheet plastic and paint it black. I have from a Rebel Machine model extra decals that a friend made me. I'll use the R/W/B AMC decal emblem and use some model rub on letters and spell out Hornet next to it. When it is finished you'd swear it was factory. Them rub on letters look factory on the new lense I made for the horn button. Besides where would I get the insert without buying the whole glove box door if I could find one? and besides I have all the materials right here already. So it is just time to make it, and time is what I have a lot of being stuck inside with the weather this winter. And this is not a resto job with a mildly customized interior. Later!!!!
