You can get the repro. plates for 60 bucks through Galvins rambler. at 150 some one was unfortunatly trying to rape you. I just got a v-8 crossmember with the factory mount plates from a guy in Cali. Cost me 185 including shipping. That was a deal though. I am still looking for another set of plates cheap as I can't afford even 60 bucks right now.

I'd say go for it,Go with a V8 swap :) if you need a V8 crossmember the 72-76 Gremlin,70-77 Hornet,78-79 Concord and 79 Spirit had a factory V8 option and all are interchanagable so look for one in your local junkyard if you lucky enough to find one'thier kinda rare'.Also i think the 66-69 Rambler American,Rogue and SC/Ramblers V8 crossmembers fit the Gremlin as well and vice versa.let us know your intentions for your Gremlin and i'm sure we can all help you in your project.

If you find the V8 crossmember, you better hope the engine motor mount plates are there also. If not, you're looking to spend a chunk of change. I found a set and the guy wanted $150. Fortunately, someone I knew wrecked his
Gremlin and he gave me the plates.
