Sorry about the blank message.......mouse problems. --------- Edited ------------- Lately, I have been fabricating interior windshield and rear hatch trim. Since the top is chopped, none of the factory pieces fit. I have had to do a lot of cutting, fitting, welding and grinding. I learned a long time ago to measure twice and cut once. Last weekend I cut and welded the rear hatch glass trim. It came out looking pretty good. I have been looking for someone in my area to sandblast my stainless trim pieces. The trim will be painted black so I want to have a good surface for the primer to stick to. I sprayed a little self etching primer on the rear wing and the upper windshield. It looked okay but I would rather rely on the rougher texture from the sand blasting. I just don't want the piece to be hit with a 150psi blasting nozzle. Hopefully I'll find someone willing to turn the pressure down to prevent warping. I have vacation scheduled for the first week of December. I am looking forward to spending time in the garage. Ya'll be good! Rick ============================================= Look in the Yellow Pages - and find your local Grave Stone Representative . He works with various Grits of Blast Media. They also have what they term as ' Dust ' - which is the Blast Media that has been used repeatedly & now is a fine dust Blast material . These guys sometimes have blast cabinets - which is the way to go with the trim Items . Since these Artisans handle all the Lettering on Grave Markers / Head Stones - they are expert as to what it takes to bring about the ' Perfect Surface ' for Texture or Ahdeasion of your Black Paint . Check out the Black Paint used on the 1970 AAR 'Cuda /. This is the 'Shadow Mask ' paint used by MoPar - stands up pretty well . Brien. NEW YORK
