All,
I got a call this morning around 10:30AM ET from
the Hornet's seller, informing me that the tractor-
trailer arrived last night at his home in Wichita,
Kansas, to pick the car up. Now, picture that-
No call, no warning...they arrive just before
midnight at the home of a 75-year-old retiree with
their 18-wheeler idling at the curb, knocking on
the door to pick up a car. I'd have emerged shooting.
ANYWAY- after a detailed visual inspection (with very
few defects noted), the car was loaded and on it's
way by midnight.
Now, a mere eight hours later, I just received a call
from the driver telling me "we've" made good progress
and expect to arrive in the morning between 8AM and
Noon......less than 36 hours after starting out!!
Sounds wacky to me, but if he's really got TWO drivers
aboard, I suppose there's a legal way to do the 1300-
mile run that fast.
In any case...MY CAR IS COMING, MY CAR IS COMING!!!
I'm gonna get 30 seconds or less sleep tonight!
John
