When I used to drive up from Corpus Christi to Houston in my 68 Javelin at 
2-4am always wondered about the dim glow of the ALT light back in 1977. 
Later would make same trips in 69 AMX and same dim glow. Now we say "there 
is a ap for that!" back then AMC would say "there is a bulletin for that".

AMC Hurst Competition Shifter Bulletins, this applies to all four speed 
AMCs.

Don't take apart your shifter. And DON'T do like I did in 1979 and leave 
hood DOWN whereas air cleaner left nasty dent. Live & learn, simply went to 
a junkyard in Corpus Christi and bought another ram air hood for $50.

Yes, this could cause a problem, but nothing a little well placed AMC Super 
Glue AMC Group 15 Caulk can't fix! Otherwise, watercooled AMC transmission. 
Clutch good, water bad.

Mike at AMX-MGS died last year. Some of you knew him, others didn't but he was a really enthusiastic force in AMC hobby making a LOT of metal works items no one else did. And easy to talk to and work with on getting production done. In May there was a 'estate sale' of his molds, dies and inventory, many of us had hoped family would keep his dream alive and keep business open, but was not to be. Regardless of that, if you knew Mike or just want to offer condolences to his family, please sign the guest book at the link below on the one year anniversary of his passing, I'm sure his family would sincerely appreciate it.
